Hi Maggie,

When you give him a taste, you then need to pull away and say...not here...we muct go somewhere more private...that way you look like its not you saying no

Also when he invites you to hang out after work...I make him feel like he has to work for it before I say yes, so say to him, well it depends on if you are a good boy and laugh

So that he knows you could or couldn't be joking

Good Luck

How do I give a customer a little "taste" of contact, like a hug or sitting shoulder-to-shoulder at the bar, but then stop him from touching me more than that without driving him away or insulting him? And how do I turn down an invitation to hang out after my shift ends, without shattering the illusion that I'm crazy about him?

Hi Veronica

Well done for winning. A lot of the time it isnt the daring dancing moves you can do but your attitude on stage.
In some clubs you make a lot of your money on the stage by tips and in others clubs that does not matter so much. Are you in a club where the girls make most of thier money by dancing on stage or by selling private dances and VIP rooms? You can usually learn as you go along if you do need to do tricks or go to a local pole dancing class

There is a real way in which you converse with a customer that converts it from normal talk to selling talk and I was really bad at this when i started until I read Jessica's 7 Step Book. This is why I promote it as the main thing she teaches is how to get them to spend money on you. It is too much to explain here, but if you are serious I would get that book and you will find you will get used to "selling" yourself with the customers. You can learn this on your own but it will take time and the sad thing is that other girls in the club will not teach you

Good luck

I am a waitress at a strip club and I am getting ready to become a dancer. I just have a few questions; At my club we have a waitress contest where the waitresses each go up on stage and dance for one song and then the audience votes for a winner. My first time doing the contest I won. I was surprised I won though becaue all I did was get up there and be sexy and role around. I don't know any of the stage/pole tricks. Is that a big deal? Can I just learn as I go along or will not knowing the tricks effect my business? Also, how do I transition from casual convo with the customer to (for lack of a better term) sexy talk and asking if they want a dance?
Thanks!

HI,
The information I listed below is for dancers in California, however, ALL exotic dancers NEED to look into their local labor laws. Exotic Dancing is a legitmate business: the club owners are licensed businesses, pay taxes etc.Governor Davis signs bill supporting exotic dancers!

On Friday, September 29, 2000, Governor Gray Davis signed Assembly Bill 2509 (Authored by Assemblyman Steinberg). A.B. 2509 improves enforcement and administrative procedures of wage and hour laws before the Labor Commissioner and the courts, and increases civil penalties and damages for violations. The bill will be in effect as of January 1, 2001.
A.B. 2509 classifies exotic dancers as employees, and entitles them to keep their gratuities (“tips) from patrons. Under existing labor laws, employers can’t take gratuities intended for the employee or deduct or credit gratuities against wages due.
Owners who require the payment of “stage fees,” “commissions,” or ”quotas” from any portion of dancers’ tips will be in violation of State labor laws. Dancers can file a claim with the Labor Commission and request the return of paid fees and any unpaid wages (you can go back 3 years from the date that you file your claim), or make an anonymous report to the Labor Commission that their employer is charging fees and taking money from dancers’ tips.
State of California Labor Commission: 455 Golden Gate Avenue, (415) 557-7878

The girls need to start treating their job as a legitimate profession. Exotic dancers have rights even if you only work part-time. Furthermore, no matter what contract you sign - if it is illegal to began with - it is void. Most club owners know most girls aren't going to look into these things, so we sign contracts and think we have no control over our job which allows the club owners to control, manipulate and extort money from us.
