Thanks for the website. It’s very helpful. I danced before in Colorado but recently moved to NYC and am wondering if you know which clubs are decent. Mostly, I’m just looking for a club that treats its dancers well. I was hoping you might know which NYC clubs have good (or bad) reputations. Thanks!

Hi Sexy,

Auditions in most clubs are dancing and stripping on a stage to music. You do not have to know how to poledance for most clubs, but you can just dance around it and learn some basic moves in poledancing classes or by watching a youtube video.

Usually this audition will happen in front of management or teh House mum who looks after the girls.

The club does not provide the costumes. You can have a look at some dresses you can wear by checking out discount stripper which you can see at the top.

Hi Alyss,

Most girls feel like this Alyss, make sure you get your middle toned and just audition, by phoning a club and asking them when it is. You will know what to expect then as they will tell you when you ask.

Strechmarks are not to worry about as it is dark and you can cover with make up

Hi….

I have thought many times about becoming a dancer but I’m nervous that maybe I’m not the right body type (some stretch marks and a little extra in the middle). How do I figure out if I would be right for this?

Relations between fellow strippers can be one of many
1) friends
2) friendly
3) competitive
4) Bitcy
5) Aggresive
6) igoring each other

or a mixture of all the above

It depends on the girls and where you work

A good way to deflect a bad customer is first with humour and gentle hand movements

And if that doesn’t work, jsutsay that is not allowed here.
And you will know when they have overstepped the boundaries either when they are breaking the club rules or your personal boundaries and you are feeling uncomfortable. Whichever one comes first
